Joel M. Fisher, PhD

Joel M. Fisher, PhD is the wine columnist for the Culinary Connection of the Chefs de Cuisine Association of California.Since 2007 he has been teaching at Cordon Bleu in Pasadena. He was also, a wine instructor for the Culinary Arts Department of the Art Institute of California- Los Angeles for seven years and is a founding partner of the educational Wine Vine and Dine, which conducts programs throughout Southern California. A Sommelier for the Escoffier Association of Southern California, he is also a member of Patterson's Tasting Panel. He is currently Wine Host for CRN's Whats Cooking Show.

Dr. Fisher is a member of the Society of Wine Educators, The Circle of Wine Writers (UK) and was awarded a Wine Enthusiast Media Scholarship for 2005 at the Culinary Institute of America. He is the author of the Wine Work Book now in its 6th edition.

In 2004 he co-led a program for chefs and culinary students to the Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany and to wineries in Burgundy and Champagne. In June 2006 he again lead a program, "Wine and Cuisine of Iberia," to Spain and Portugal. Planned for 2008 are two wine program included in this web site: wine tour of Bordeaux and a second, river cruise, to Burgundy.


ADAM LEEMON,  FOUNDING CO-ORGANIZER Adam co-organized LAWineFest 2006 with Joel Fisher, and remained through the 2007 event.  He is a media personality, journalist and an award-winning sommelier, receiving his certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers.  In 2002 Adam developed the wine cellar for Dolce Enoteca, whose wine lists have been regularly cited by Wine Spectator Magazine as having one of the most well rounded cellars in the country.  He currently consults for the city's top restaurants, and Adam is featured in the syndicated radio program, The Tasting Room with Tom Leykis.
